I am quite proud of this cake I made for Sarah’s Bday (clearly.) Recent cakes have been shoddy or haphazard and made me feel like I did NOT listen to my mother when she taught me how to ice, but THIS guy is the Barefoot contessa’s chocolate buttercream cake made with fresh buttermilk, coffee, dark chocolate and orange liqueur. Hopefully it tastes as good as it looks. We will find out tonight at the 3rd annual A Fancy Christmas Party (Jews Welcome)!
