two kids, one tunnel

Bobbie wants to do whatever Joe is doing, wants to play with whatever he’s playing with. She wants to play with all of his toys, but Joe doesn’t want her to play with the Special ones, which are all of them, especially the ones he hasn’t played with in months and in fact has completely forgotten about. Joe wants to hug Bobbie but she doesn’t want to be hugged, but wants to shout for him while he’s at school and until he comes home, at which point they both get gummies. Joe shouts when Bobbie is. standing on chairs and says NO MA’AM when she touches anything that might fall. They sit close to and on top of each other and ignore each other. Sometimes they’re one kid, and sometimes they’re different kids entirely. They both want to be in the tunnel at the same time, one wants to play in the kitchen, one in the living room. The tunnel expands and contracts as they move around the house, together and apart, siblings bursting together in opposite directions, bound by Love.
