I made this Southern Living S’mores pie for Labor Day because I’ve been on strike for over 4 months and I have more time and worry than I normally do, even though my days are full of bottles and timers set for 5 minutes. This will solve it, I thought to myself, piping the marshmallow crème frosting to look like little marshmallows because damnit why not. At least I still have this, I thought, grating the optional chocolate shavings on top, doing the Work. I love you pie, thank you for giving me meaning and purpose, I told her, tucking her into the fridge before I served her to neighbors and friends. Thank you for your service, and your sacrifice.
