Drowsy, but Awake

Put your baby down drowsy, but Awake. Make sure they’re tired enough, but not too tired, just tired enough to sleep but not so tired that she can’t. There is a tiny window between success and failure and you can’t miss it, if you miss it, neither you or baby will ever sleep again. Protect your baby from everything, but not so much that they don’t grow. Expose your baby to everything while also protecting them. Feed them when they’re hungry but on a schedule so that they learn that you’re in charge, but also follow their lead. Love your baby enough, but not so much that they become immune to love. Love them just Enough, but not too little. Get it all right, but it’s okay to get some parts Wrong, just not the important parts, which are All of them.
