During rehearsal for A.D. 16, for our director Stephen, all good things were Gorg. When blocking made sense, Gorg. When the fake goat seemed appropriately sized, Gorg. When everyone came back from time on break, Gorg Gorg GORG(…eous.) And so my first and only reaction to our beautiful, glowing review in the Washington Post is GORG. GORRRGGGGGGGGG! I’ve never in my career received such a positive review. I’ve never needed them (lies) and don’t read them (more lies) but I’m so grateful for this rave, for the actors, the designers, the crew, and the future life of the show. Screw the critics when they get it wrong, exalt them when they get it right, right? RIGHT.
