a motive

When asked about his motive, the gunman replied, from his hospital bed:

I can’t remember when or why, I —

I think it was because my father died, or my mother, or both, or my dog cheated on me, or we were out of milk. And I don’t like the masks, I don’t like people who wear them or don’t wear them and I don’t like it when they don’t look like me but they’re beautiful. I’m sad, I’m all of out cash, I’m exhausted and awake, it’s your fault. I don’t know Why. If you give me my phone back, I’ll Google it. Yeah, I think it’s somewhere inside of the internet, Because I don’t have it. I was supposed to be provided with one, but I never was.
