Today, on social media is ruining us, she noted, while laying content at the feet of the New Gods: Have you noticed that now, whenever anything terrible is happening, which is to say, basically every day — you MUST post something related to the tragedy, or you are selfish? Or at least, this is how you are made to feel?  To avoid being perceived as a clueless narcissist, something must be said. And so we all take to our text boxes. But how often is feeling actually attached to it? Is it truly our voice or just our chance to be liked in a way that we can measure and quantify? And what are we even saying?  EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHAT ARE WE DOING?
