My favorite thing about being a part of The Kilroys is that we’re not about hate or vitriol or rage against the machine that is the lack of gender parity in the American Theater. We’re about positivity and promoting awareness and creating opportunities and making change through pointing out what’s working. And today, we are about CAKE. Throughout the day, we are delivering chocolate cakes to thirteen theaters throughout the country that achieved gender parity in their seasons!
It was Sarah Gubbins’ idea and one of the best I’ve ever heard. Who doesn’t like cake? Idiots and thieves, are who. Instead of getting mad, we are giving cake. So far:
