I CAN’T.

STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING, FIND A PERSON FROM ICELAND, AND BEFRIEND THEM. Here’s mine, Miss Maggie Takyar:

I met this beautiful lady in grad school, immediately wanted to write plays for her and so I did, have always wanted to visit her in her native country, and now I’m here. And I just. I just.

Iceland is by far the most beautiful and and beautifully mysterious place I have ever been. In Reykjavik, a comforting but creepy lack of billboards, a starkness, a simplicity, massive apartment buildings and stores left empty since the crash, then outside the city, miles of nothing, an untouched natural beauty. Maggie drove us all around today,  a day of geysers, waterfalls, sheep, tales of hidden folks and trolls, far of glaciers plus also finally understand what a glacier actually is, climbing and standing up things, horses and ghosts. I think It’s going to take me a while to articulate how it feels to be in this cold and mystical place, but I eventually I will, PERHAPS IN PLAY FORM STARRING MAGGIE HERSELF?
