Fog Effects

O’Neill wrote a lot about the fog; griped about it, waxed poetic about it; and last night, we saw it Roll In, and this morning, Burn Off (fog terms?). I will say that Fog has a notable affect on one’s actions and mood. There’s a distinct pensiveness and self-indulgent melancholy. It sort of shrinks your world and makes everything inside of it meaningful and profound, in a sad sort of way. You avoid your fellow beach walkers and instead make up sad stories about who they just lost or who they’re missing. There’s also a sudden penchant for Selfies. I found myself wandering around, repeating to myself in my head, THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED, wherever that came from; whatever that means.
