Persistence

3 years ago, Carrie was living in Charleston for law school, and so I sent her flowers for her birthday. To this day, The company I ordered from calls and emails me about ten times a year to thank me for my business and to, you know, let me know they still exist, should I ever have a loved one living in Charleston again. I’m certainly no business major, but wouldn’t any $ gained from said calls never be greater than or even equal to however much they’re paying the woman who makes these calls who sounds like someone I went to middle school with who has suddenly been transported to their early 60’s, and who has not left the house in 37 years and only knows the world through the Reader’s Digests left around the house?
