The old man was playing Heal the World on his dirty saxophone for earned gifts of ones and smiles. (People tend to give each other gifts, as acts of kindness and thanks: ranging from facial expressions to wet dollar bills.)

She stopped to enjoy this, this old silly song that sounded lovely in the hot tourist air. She truly enjoyed it. And Just then, as if to thanks, her candy cane skirt flew up in the wind  like a good dream. Thank you, said her underwear, without her consent.

The old man laughed into his sax, which made a sound that was in itself a present. You’re Welcome.
