Traditionnnnnnnsss, Traditions!

Every time I come to NYC for work, regardless of how long I’ve spent pre-travel obsessively checking the Accuweather extended forecast, I like to do this thing where I don’t bring the right shoes so then I spend way too much time trying to find a pair of shoes, stomping around the city in the wrong shoes, on an angry and resolved search for good shoes that cost seven dollars because I already HAVE shoes exactly like them back at home, and after many hours of searching I give in and buy a pair, and then months later I find them in my closet buried in a nest of dust and Cracker’s fur and I wonder, what are these Shoes? And then I give them to Goodwill. And then do I do it all over again? YES, ALWAYS.
