This is technically not my news to share, but given how stoked my mom is, I imagine that at least all of North Carolina knows by now: MY BIG BROTHER PETE AND HIS GIRLFRIEND MARY GOT ENGAGED! We Brunstetter chillins very much value our independence, and have been far more focused on our careers than nuptials, so it’s taken a while for one of us to reach marriage but I’m so happy that it’s Pete to get there first. I  finally get a sister in Law, and she couldn’t be sweeter. I can’t wait to weep at their wedding. One a more personal note, when my mom called to deliver the good news, she asked me if I’d thought at all about what MY engagement ring should look like? And I was like Mom, that’s crazy, one should not think of those things, I have no idea, I have not thought about it at all.
