Being that I basically sit in a room all day, I’ve been trying to make more of a concerted effort to DO THINGS AFTER WORK, things that shake and expand my heart and brain. Fortunately, oh right, I live in a massive cultural mecca which often masquerades as a douche-splosion of Handbags and meetings and tiny salads and Kardashians and Shah’s, but actually, the more I look, the more I find great art and music and plays. Last night: WILLIE NELSON at the Wiltern.

Bra ain’t gettin any younger but he still got it, and also got a handful of  brilliant sons with little Willie voices who joined  him onstage.  He strummed up  Blue Eyes Cryin in the Rain and the the world fell away and it was just me and Willie and the 600 other people NOT thinking about their drive home or meetings or story or backfat or things that one can do to Kale.
