Those who care: for the first time in years, I made it through both flights out east with nearly zero worry or panic. I think the trick is to hop a flight that doesn’t leave til 1 am, be super exhausted, so that when your brain goes HEY! This plane might crash! You go, well dying kind of sounds like being asleep to me right now, so yeah. I’m fine with that.
