I think one of my most favorite and most useful playwriting terms – to use and be told – is to unpack a scene, emotionally. It means getting inside a scene and sort of talking and thinking it through throwing all of the socks and shampoo and dirty underwear on the bed, and sort of just looking at it – and figuring out what needs to be washed  / thrown away / put away; looking at the things you have and deciding where to put them. And Sometimes, there’s a BABY in it!

Not really.
