Everything happens for a reason. I absolutely live by this. I have to! Because: the other option is that things are random and illogical. I don’t find any comfort there. I’d rather believe that there is an order to things and something greater behind the cause and sometimes way way later effect of tragic or frustrating events. Case in point: the nine year old Kristina who was killed in the Arizona shooting on Saturday. She was born on 9/11 and was super interested in politics, hence her presence there that day. Her life absolutely will continue to have resonance in a way we probably can’t see immediately see, or perhaps ever see, but I guarantee that in some way, large or small, she lost her life to directly impact someone else’s for the better.
