Oh hello. It is I! Profound! And here is your daily dose of profundity: to a playwright, a good Times review is a like a good set of armor. Pair of armor? Armor. It protects your from all worries / foes. Friend Amy Herzog’s beautiful play After The Revolution just opened and got a GREAT times review. A few others were not so favorable (I seriously don’t get why) – but it seems to me that a nod from the Times cancels out all others? Helps you sleep at night / keeps villains from crawling in through your castle window and stabbing you in your sleep. To death. It’s like gaining immunity on a reality show, so that you can survive through to the next round, and pick to friends to go with you and Tyra to the spa.
