If I could just borrow someone’s time machine like REAL fast, like JUST for the weekend, I would really like to see this 2007 production of Dividing the Estate. At the Horton Foote awards, sir Shinn suggested I read this play, for its fusion of drama and comedy, and I just did, and it blew me away. I really responded to how ridiculously truthful the family members are, in terms of financial woes and panic, need for financial independence. It’s like August Osage County, but maybe even better even, and before its time.
