I’ve spent the week at the Lark working on Miss Lilly. And I can truly say ‘working.’ It was really nice to go from the public scrutiny of Oohrah! / getting kissed / or punched in the face, to the amazing, quiet warmth of a rehearsal room. The Lark is big on development. Like, they actually are. It’s this incredibly safe place where you can pick apart your play, try stuff – then a big audience of nice people comes to hear, laughs, and makes you feel special – all while you learn grand things about the play itself. Three cheers for elephants / highlighters / midtown / large mirrors! Oh and also, the Lark.
