If you recall, I’ve been working on this play for quite sometime – and now – drum roll please – it’s a musical. Huzzah! In the spirit of cramming too many things into one play -A composer /lyricist team from NYU has written some really wonderful songs for the play – and Alice Reagan – a director whose experience lies mainly in classical and movement-y stuff – is at the healm. It’s been pretty amazing thusfar – to see a lyricist take my text and a make song happen, etc.
We’ve been workshopping it this past weekend / this week and will present our findings on Thursday night at 7:30 pm, at New George’s The Room (520 8th Ave / 3rd floor.) I mean, if you’re not doing anything, and if you’re into that sort of thing.
