I tend to πŸ™‚ a lot when I text / write emails. Why? Why do I that? What am I, twelve? I irk myself. A deeper consideration of the πŸ™‚ could reveal horrible insecurities about being misinterpreted. You πŸ™‚ because you REALLY need the reader to know that you are beingΒ Β Β Β  πŸ™‚ -y. You do not trust the other person to read your mind. You do not want their feelings hurt, or your intentions not conveyed. And so, we πŸ™‚ the crap out of our passive aggressive sentences so that at least the πŸ™‚ is there, and at the end of the day, everyone stays πŸ™‚ as opposed to πŸ™
