a lot

I’m trying to prep episode 5 with the director, while down the hill, scenes from episode 3 that I feel like I’m still finding are being filmed. I’m shoving a salad into my face between questions and answers, I’m texting my executives to let them know about something I’m trying in episode 8, I’m googling ‘how long two year old diarrhea normal.’ Like a farce, the costume and props designers enter, pushing a giant cart full of purses for us to pick from for episode 4, we realize we have a zoom meeting that started a minute ago. I point at purses and speed walk to my office with salad hanging from my face. Morrison comes to work for episode 6 to play a part I wrote for him, and we grin at each other over the many cables and cameras and lights. It’s a lot, but it’s also everything I’ve ever wanted, not in a burning but in a simmering way, because I always knew it would be a lot, and it is, but also, it is Everything.
